PORTRAIT – 60
I took this photo at a 2011 Calumet Photo lighting event, but only recently retouched it. Calumet had set up banks with different lighting equipment, and they hired models. This particular portrait was taken with an octabank. (You can see its reflection in the model’s eyes.) During the retouching, I fell in love with the quality of the light and the catchlight it created. After a little research to verify the differences between an octabank and a large square softbox – as well as when to use each, I purchased a large octa.
